The Wireless system for the KFX Aurora Max and Mini Remote Heads is available in North America. The KFX RM900 Radio Module is a 900 MHz FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) radio link that provides excellent stability, strong resistance to interference, and long range.
KFX Wireless System
Easy-to-use, plug-and-play system – Simply attach the antenna and flip the switch.
KFX RM900 transmitter embedded in the control console can be activated by a switch on the back panel.
The receiver is also the power input for the head. Plug the power source into the box, which auto-converts to the correct polarity, and connect a short or long command cable to head, which carries the power and signal at the same time.
The box has ¼ 20 and 3/8 16 threads for mounting, allowing it to be optimally positioned, mounted on a stand or arm, and keeps the antenna from revolving with the head, providing a much more stable link.
To upgrade to wireless control, the back panel of the control console needs to be changed for one with the new RM900 transmitter. It is a simple task that can be carried out by the owner, or we can arrange for the work to be done in LA or New York for no extra fee.
In addition to the wireless upgrade, our new control system adds firmware upgrades via USB, and user configurable settings for gain, damping, feathering, as well as data output for virtual production.
